Due to sensational audience and critical response to its January, 2010 limited run at the Theatre Building Chicago, the producer of SEX MARKS THE SPOT is now bringing it back for 7 weeks in a production directed by Damian Arnold.

This funny and fun filled spoof of hypocritical politicians and media manipulation finds Senator Cooney fighting for his political life when his mistress threatens to reveal their affair on national television. But Cooney's attempts at spin control soon spin way out of control when he pushes his press secretary and his campaign manager to the breaking point. And what secret is his press secretary hiding? Has played to sell out crowds and won critical raves at theaters throughout the country!

"I wanted to marry the familiar elements of classical farce with political satire to explore the way politicians cover up their sex scandals,"says Playwright Charles Grippo."And I wanted to investigate why their campaign aides sell off their ideals and their own ethics to help their boss cynically manipulate the media and con the voters.

"I was also interested in why the humiliated wife stands by her husband's side when he gives the standard issue 'I know I hurt my family and disappointed the voters' speech to the TV cameras. I mean, why doesn't she just haul off and punch the SOB in the teeth? Now that would be a video clip I'd love to see.

"And, while I was at it,"Grippo says,"I thought I could break down a few stereotypes about cross-dressers. I must have succeeded, too, because, after one performance in the Bible Belt, a woman came up to me, and she actually said this:'I never realized cross dressers are people like us.'"

STILL MORE RAVES FOR "SEX MARKS THE SPOT" FROM CRITICS ACROSS THE COUNTRY!

"Filled with slapstick, shock humor."
   Sheila Ahern, Frankfort Times

"Charles Grippo's farce is a quick witted presentation of masterfully crafted situations filled with a perfect blend of tension and comic relief...Whoa, funny!"

"Superb..Had the audience in stitches."
