I was pleased to be one of three attorneys who presented a panel on legal issues affecting writers for the Authors Guild Chicago on October 24, 2019 at Next Door Chicago. My colleagues were Steven L. Baron, an attorney with Baron Harris Healey, and Marci Rolnik Walker, Director of Education for Lawyers for the Creative Arts. Our moderator/host was Arnie Bernstein, ambassador for the Authors Guild Chicago. We spoke on the importance of the CASE ACT, which, we hope, will be signed into law before the end of 2019 and which will make a significant difference in reducing the cost of copyright infringement cases for both parties.
